About the Project

This machine learning pipeline addresses one of the most critical issues in fintech: fraud detection. Dealing with an inherently imbalanced dataset, the project utilizes SMOTE (Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique) to balance the target classes. Multiple models, including Random Forest and Logistic Regression, were rigorously evaluated for precision and recall.
